This makes me happy. I'll now apply my liberal arts education and take it a step further--in a perfect world, it'd be great to have your "persona" read a book (with the persona as protagonist) and then have them chat about it. Their reactions to the character would reveal more about them than a traditional focus group would ever produce. Not sure how you'd ever swing it, but I'd die to hear a group of middle-aged men talking about why "Rabbit" pisses them off or if they'd like to buy him a beer. ;)

There's something intangible and inspiring about your recommendation to read a strory to research the persona of a segment, rather than just looking at the data. In essence a story about a story. Cool conflict. As an example, the narrative of "Something Happened" could lead to better understanding people, but perhaps for folks like me, it challenges my assumption of how to look at expected outcomes: knowing how the personas are formed, not just the end of "the guy's" story. That's why I have to read entire books, not the Cliff Notes. For those of us with short attention spans, please suggest a good movie too. -MD

Great clip from the seminar. It's awesome seeing an imc2 presence at such an international event.

I would love to be there and and have my brain immersed in all that the festival has to offer. I know it would inspire me.
